Freedom of Thought is a throwback of sorts to how mixtapes once were. This is in the form of it being a mixture of jacked beats and original music. The concepts, or topics covered in the lyrics range from a proclamation of being yourself, being thankful for what you have (counting blessings), wanting to leave a lasting impression on your own history (a legacy), even an identity crisis after experiencing heartbreak and more.
